Where is the best place to watch the england world cup games while on holiday in the torbay area?

Question by grillnun: Where is the best place to watch the england world cup games while on holiday in the torbay area?
When i say best place i obviously mean pub/bar. I’ll be staying in brixham but would travel to somewhere else around the bay if i can get the bus back. Somewhere child friendly would be preferable i.e with a beer garden and/or play area but not essential.

Hilarious Drinking Games

Hilarious Drinking Games

First and foremost, let me say that drinking games are really a blast! However, many people avoid playing them correctly, or make up their own rules. Avoid doing that!! When played correctly, the object should not be to get drunk. Often, drinking games can require skill and teamwork. This article will focus on a couple of popular drinking games, with an emphasis on playing them correctly.

The first drinking game we will feature is Beer Pong. Beer Pong is played at virtually every college bar/frat party in the U.S.You will start by placing 10 cups in the shape of a pyramid at one end of a table or flat surface. Have the top of the pyramid pointing toward the middle of the table. Fill each cup 1/2 full with beer. You will need a cup at each end filled with water. You will use these cups to clean the balls.

Form teams of two people each. Go ahead and flip a coin to determine which team plays first. Give each team two ping pong balls. Take turns attempting to either gently toss or bounce the ping pong balls into the opposing team’s cups. When bouncing the balls, make sure they bounce on the opposing team’s half of the table. The defensive team removes the balls that enter their cups, and drink the contents. The team tossing the balls is the offensive team, while the other team is the defensive team. As cups are removed, try to arrange the remaining cups into another pyramid. If both offensive players hit cups, they get to go again. The game ends when all of one team’s cups are gone, they are the losers. They are required to drink all the contents of the remaining cups.

Drinking games that require skill are great fun! Caps is a good example of such a game. Caps is another popular drinking game with the college crowd. Form teams of 2 players each, sitting approximately 10 feet from each other, facing each other. Place a 1/2 filled cup of beer in front of each person. Take turns attempting to toss bottle caps into the opposing player’s cup. When an opposing player hits your cup, you must drink the beer. If the opposing player hits your cup, you have the right to make a return throw. If you are successful, they must drink the beer. However, they have the opportunity to return as well. One point is earned for each successful throw. Most games of Caps are played until a team reaches 21, but that is up to you.

Drinking games can really add to the life of the party! Please play them with common sense. Avoid finding yourself in a position where you have to drink and drive, or you are “forced” to get drunk. The purpose should be to have fun, and nothing else. Cheers!

Simple Guide on How to Make a Beer Pong Table

Simple Guide on How to Make a Beer Pong Table

Beer Pong is a game commonly played in college areas. The table is the biggest and most important part of the game. There are no official rules for beer pong and the ones that are used alter significantly from coast to coast, state to state and college to university. Check the rules that others in your area follow before starting construction of your table. Need design ideas-you may wish to check out www.BeerPongNation.net for pictures of some of the best custom beer pong tables.

Things you’ll need :

*Table
*Plywood
*three 2-by-4 inch boards
*Paint or whatever you want to use to decorate or customize the table
*Waterproof sealer

Follow these straightforward steps to build your custom beer pong table.

1.Take a well ventilated area such as a warehouse and clear it. Find a table to use as a base. This can either be a table that you are already using, such as a kitchen table, or you can purchase a cheap folding table for just this purpose.

2. Cut the plywood to the right measurements for the beer pong table. Technically, there are no official rules for the game of beer pong so the measurements of the table can change greatly from area to area. The typical size is 8 by four feet.

3. Adjust the peak of the table. Cut at least three pieces of 2-by-4 or 4-by-4 to the same width of your table. Lay the boards equally across the table. You can stack and nail many pieces of 2-by-4 in order to get the proper height that is required by the rules of your area. Again, the guidelines change greatly so the height may be anywhere from 27.5 to forty five inches.

4. Draw boundaries on the plywood top. There are often three lines that are required by most rules : The mid line that divides the table in half, and the foul lines that are a foot from the edge of each side of the table.

5. Decorate the plywood. You can use paint, bottle caps or anything else you want to customize the surface of your table. This is your chance to customize your table.

6. Water-proof the plywood. It is best to cover the surface of the table in a water-resistant sealer in order to protect the wood from water damage. This will protect the wood and make sure that your table lasts better.

7. Set up the table you are using as a base, place the set of three 2-by-4 boards uniformly across the table and place the plywood on top. This sets up the beer pong table for playing.

Question by Lamù: Do it Gaelic! …Irish Games for Italian Beer Festival in May. Please?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for ancient traditional Irish/Galic/Celtic games to play with customers in my Irish pub in Italy during our Beer Festival in May.
Any suggestions?

Grazie mille :-)
Sorry guys, but I’m Italian and I don’t understand the terms “hurling, camoge and caili”.
Could you explain them with easier words please? Sorry for bothering, thanks
