The nes and snes were the glory days of videogaming in my opinion.Since the xbox 360,ps3 and wii came out it seems like games have become so bloody generic.Every game looks the same.Also there is too much of a focus on shoot em ups.Rpgs seem to be dying out while platforming is taking a bashing.Also they never have games like arkanoid or equinox(solstice 2) anymore.I feel that all games seem the bloody same.You have great graphics but not enough imagination and creativity.Even new super mario bros was just rehash of old ideas with boring backgrounds,crappy music,crappy bosses and repetitive,mediocre levels.Even though I loved all of the nes and snes mario games and mario 64 and galaxy this ds title didn’t do anything for me.Anyway back to the point,do you guys think that videogames have gone to hell?

Xbox live has a lot of different Arcade games that are different and things I would never think of. Some of these games are created even from just normal people.
I do agree that a lot of games aren’t pushing the limit enough. But games Like prototype is a different game (more strange idea then good idea). But at least they are trying something new.
Eat Lead is another game that is just like other shooters but has a different story and makes fun of gaming in general.
