This is the most important tip that I can give you.  Can YOU play the game?  There are so many different flight simulator games that try and out do each other, sometimes they forget that the user actually needs to play the game!  How much fun can simulator airplane games be if you can never really figure out how to play them?  Make sure that you know you can actually play the simulator game BEFORE you actually buy it.

The last word of caution that I have for you is that a lot of simulator airplane games usually do not offer a money back guarantee.  If you purchase it through a retail store like Best Buy, check and see what their return policy is.  There is nothing more disheartening is buying a flight simulator game that you do not like.  Check this out before you make your purchase.
